Insurance Sales Agent (new position)
Service Areas = Southern Ontario | Eastern Ontario | Southwestern Ontario
Agriwise Farm Insurance, proudly owned by Trillium Mutual Insurance, is a specialized agricultural insurance agency focused on protecting Ontario’s farms, rural properties, and commercial businesses along with supporting auto. We are looking for an outgoing, motivated Insurance Sales Agent who enjoys building relationships within rural communities. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing agency backed by the strength and stability of one of Ontario’s trusted mutual insurers. Position Details
As an Insurance Sales Agent, you will work directly with rural property owners (home and auto) and develop into working with commercial and agricultural businesses to provide insurance solutions tailored to their unique operations. You will represent Agriwise Farm Insurance and Trillium Mutual in your region, helping clients protect their livelihoods while building long-term relationships within the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Sell and service insurance products with a focus on small-town and rural properties, agricultural and commercial operations, and supporting auto policies
- Identify and generate new business opportunities across your service area
- Meet with clients face-to-face to provide professional insurance advice and tailored coverage solutions
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community members and rural businesses
- Participate in agricultural events, trade shows, and community initiatives
- Contribute ideas to support the continued growth and evolution of the agency
- Operate from a remote / home office environment while serving clients in your region
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package designed to reward performance and long-term growth. Salary position: $60k – $90k depending on experience.

What You Bring
- Insurance sales experience (agriculture or rural background) is an asset
- Ontario insurance license (RIBO or OTL) or willingness to obtain
- Strong understanding of small-town and rural community
- Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
- Self-motivated and relationship-focused personality
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage timelines while maintaining attention to detail and work independently
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel; experience with Guidewire considered an asset)
- A home office setup with reliable high-speed internet
